This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and what rights you have. It applies to Ember Client and all related services (the "Service"), operated by Clyent Softwares Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

What We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Minecraft UUID and username
  • Account creation date
  • User roles and permissions
  • Profile settings and preferences

We don't collect your Minecraft/Microsoft account password.

Social Data

If you use social features, we collect:

  • Friend connections and requests
  • Group memberships and roles
  • Related metadata needed for social functionality to work

Purchase and Cosmetic Data

When you buy something or customise your experience:

  • Owned and equipped cosmetic items
  • Purchase history and transaction records
  • Customisation preferences

Payment details (card numbers, billing addresses) are handled entirely by Tebex, our payment processor. We never see or store your payment information.

Usage Data

To improve the Service and track things like playtime rewards:

  • Session start and end times
  • How long you use the Service
  • Playtime statistics and milestones
  • Which features you use and how often

Technical Data

Collected automatically to keep things running:

  • IP address
  • General location (country/region level, not precise)
  • Device type and operating system
  • Browser information (for web features)

When you contact us or use messaging features:

  • Support ticket content and history

Error and Diagnostic Data

We use Sentry to catch and fix bugs:

  • Crash reports and error logs

  • Performance data around errors

Why We Use Your Data

Running the Service: Providing, maintaining, and improving Ember Client. Creating and managing accounts. Processing purchases. Delivering cosmetics. Enabling social features.

Making it better: Understanding how people use the Service. Identifying and fixing bugs. Developing new features. Optimising performance.

Keeping it safe: Verifying identities. Preventing fraud and abuse. Enforcing our Terms of Service. Detecting and responding to security threats.

Communicating with you: Sending service updates and announcements. Responding to support requests. Notifying you of important account or policy changes.

If you're in the EEA or UK, we process your data under these legal bases:

Everyone

EEA and UK Residents

You also have the right to:

  • Data portability - receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restrict processing - ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Object to processing - object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent - revoke consent at any time without affecting prior processing
  • Lodge a complaint - file a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK)

California Residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and why
  • Delete your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell your data, but you have this right)
  • Non-discrimination - we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights

International Data Transfers

Our servers are in the European Union. If we transfer data outside the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission

  • Transfers only to jurisdictions with adequate protection levels, where possible

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.

Users aged 13–18 should review this policy with a parent or guardian.

We don't currently offer a cookie preference centre on our site. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may break parts of the Service.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) or "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) browser signals, as there is no universal standard for how to interpret them. You can manage your privacy preferences by contacting us directly or adjusting your cookie settings.

Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. Where we use automated tools (such as content moderation), a human can review decisions on appeal.

The Service may link to or interact with third-party services. This policy doesn't cover them. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before using them.

The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects when the policy was last changed. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
